A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump's Testing of America (Unabridged) - Philip Rucker & Carol Leonnig
My title describes my feelings the more I learn about Trump and the way he represents us. I think about all the power he has governed only by his child-like brain.
It’s like a Twilight Zone episode.
I remember many of the things that this book reports on as they were happening. But when you get those stories spread out over the course of three years their importance doesn’t seem to ring as strong as when you hear it step by step all at once. Of course, I already knew Trump had some emotional or mental issues but reliving the stories again one after the other… All I can say is, wow.
Like most Americans, I can get caught up in my own life, my job, my hobbies, my relationships, and not spend enough time following the news of the day. Books like this are vital for bringing people up to speed with what has been happening. I never felt at any point that an agenda was being pushed. Simply superb reporting in fine detail.
The writing is very good and you’ll never get bored. I think this is an important book to keep for the history of it all. Written by two Pulitzer Prize winners, it’s exactly what you would expect.
